After considerable research, and not a few telephone calls, the following places have been identified as being named after Dr. Joseph Warren, killed at the Battle of Bunker's Hill (Breeds Hill) on June 17, 1775.
Additional Warren place names have been found but were named after other individuals, or in one case, a Minning Company. Some locations could be identified but no explanation could be found at this time. A location in Maryland was named after the Doctor but no longer exists
